about

This record reflects my experience with a religious charlatan. In short, Umbanda deals with white magic and a Quimbanda with black magic. Umbanda is often misrepresented by Quimbanda charlatans.

I was new to the city and was looking for an Umbanda Terreiro for spiritual development and protection. On a lonely night, I made my way home and suddenly I was attracted to a Candomblé rhythm. Both Umbanda and Quimbanda use Candomblé rhythms in their rituals.

There was a Gira of Quimbanda where I was welcomed by the host, an entity I greatly admire, Mr. Zé Pilintra. Mr. Zé, said knew of my admiration, complained that I delayed looking for him, said that he also worked on the umbanda line and that I was supposed to come back another day, because he was busy at the time.

When we returned to the Terreiro the next day, Pai Maicon (who was incarnate by Zé Pilintra at Gira's organization) threw the whelks where some problems were identified and some rituals were suggested to solve them.

In the first ritual, a 'spiritual cleansing' was carried out, in which a live black chicken was rubbed all over my body, then it was sacrificed and, then, it went through a 'defumação' and 'marafada', that is, Cuban cigar smoke and spit of cachaça with propolis

But according to Pai de Santo, the 'cleaning' performed was not enough, it was necessary to perform other rituals. After the unusual experience of “spiritual cleansing”, I decide to record the other meetings and suggestions of Pai de Santo with my cell phone.
