Too Many Variables is a band whose concept of music encompasses a wide variety of emotional atmospheres. The sound itself is vehicle and destination of an uncompromising point of view, which aims at taking apart the traditional cause and effect chain that we commonly use to process the majority of western music. The trio takes advantage of a rich sonic palette to constantly build and deconstruct, following the flow of a shape-shifting musical breath.

The group was born after the three met at Siena Jazz University.

Ludovico is a fearless improviser, at ease on the trumpet as well as on live electronics - he uses guitar pedals and samplers to push the sonic boundaries of the instrument and build unsettling soundscapes.

Ruggero is a lover of weird, uneasy sounds; he combines them in a varied patchwork, with great attention to the details of texture. He likes to imagine sound from a plastic perspective, as he was molding the notes from a dense paste of an unknown material.

Fabrizio is a propulsive drummer whose style is influenced by the most diverse genres; his playing is focused and torrential, but he has also a great ear for melodies, which sometimes make the drum sound like another voice in this fragmented, dystopian choir.
