Steve MacKay* With Carnal Kitchen
Death City - Live At Canterbury House sometime 1969

*Steve Mackay (Sax) Charging Rhinoceros of Soul
*Marco Lampert (D)

By 1970, he had become familiar to rock group 'The Stooges' because of his work with the Detroit 'avant-rock' pioneers, 'Carnal Kitchen'. He was then recruited by lead singer Iggy Pop, two days before the band left Detroit for Los Angeles to record their second album, "Fun House", with him having sat in with the band several times. Mackay toured with the group throughout 1970, but parted company with them in October of that year.
